Our dear Lord has taken Maria Lieggi to Heaven on March 28, 2019 at a young age of 57. Maria was the light of everyone’s life with an infectious smile, a loving spirit, a generous heart with boundless amount of energy who incessantly gave to others. Also, Maria was a faith-based woman who practiced her Catholic beliefs. She was a loyal wife, mother, daughter, aunt, sister, godmother, cousin, friend and colleague to countless numbers of individuals. She was pre-deceased by her father, Joseph Bonito and survived by her husband Frank Lieggi and their children, Nicholas and Maria; her mother Nina Bonito; her sister and brother-in-law Anne and Richard Dielensnyder; her brother and sister-in-law Joseph & Renee Bonito; her mother and father-in-law Nicola and Maria Lieggi; her sister-in-law and brother-in-law Antoinette and Vito Nardulli as well as her nieces Maria Nardulli, Cristina Nardulli, Josellina Nardulli, Cara Bonito and Elissa Bonito.

Maria was originally from Hoboken NJ and lived in North Bergen NJ before moving to Brooklyn in 1987. She is a graduate of Fashion Institute of Technology. She spent the majority of her career in the luxury retail industry working in sales, buying and brand merchandising roles for Ferragamo, Barney’s, Saks Fifth Avenue and most recently at AJ Madison. In addition, she was an active member of a religious and cultural association called ‘Associazione Culturale Figli Maria Santissima Addolorata’ as well as past PTA President at St. Mary Mother of Jesus Elementary School.
