My beloved Nanny...

I am overcome with emotions of sadness and also of joy for the times that I shared with you. As a child Denise and I would come to your house for 1-2 weeks in the summer and spend that time shopping everywhere we could in Brooklyn. After the long day of walking and spending .... We would get tucked in at night only to find ourselves creeping down the stairs and "hiding" behind the wall near the living room. You always knew we were there and you would say to Grandpa "Tony.. i think we have 2 little mice sneaking around".. then you'd give in and let us watch the 11:00 airing of the Odd couple while you played your game of solitaire on the board that you would use to hold the cards. The kindest most gentle and giving Nanny anyone could ask for. Your love and heart only grew bigger when your first great grandchild.. LUKE was born.. THE KING in your eyes. No baby was loved and adored more, and that continued on to Vincent and then Ryan.
We will miss your love, your hugs, your warmth and your smile. But you will never leave our hearts.. I carry you forever in my heart and memory for eternity. I will share all those memories with my children and grandchildren, as they are the most precious gift you ever gave to me.
